USPSA Divisions in which I compete:
Limited, Limited 10 & Production
My classification(s) within USPSA division(s):

Limited: C
Limited-10: B
Production: C

My USPSA
Area is:
Area 5
How I first got into shooting:
I started shooting at age 40, a little late in life, but my husband was a shooter. Since we now had pistols in the house, I thought would be a good idea to at least know how to shoot one. I took a few classes and I was hooked!
My preferred shooting
style:
I love the field courses. In Production Class, with limited rounds and minor scoring, you have to be accurate, so I find myself not going as fast as I would like.
My most prestigious titles are:
2008 Area-3 2nd place Production C Class
2007 Area-5 2nd place Production C Class
Why I like shooting USPSA matches:
I love trying to figure out the best way for me to shoot a stage. It's just plain fun. My husband has shot in the Nationals several times, but this year will be my first. I really enjoy watching the women's super squad. I admire the women and their shooting abilities. I hope to be a fraction as good as they are someday. I think I started a bit too late in life, so I will just enjoy every opportunity I get to shoot.
What I would additionally like you to know about me:
I wish I had more time to practice. I think I could improve if I would just put forth the time, but in Wisconsin, summer is short and practicing indoors just isn't the same for me.

I love the group of people I shoot with; the part that is unfortunate is that very few female shooters are at the range. The core group of guys I shoot with are great, and I have beat a couple of them on a few stages at times when my game is on. "I got beat by a girl" is good to hear from them every now and then.

One of my goals is to win a Production C-Class match - I seem to always be second. I also want to get my B Classification in Production and Limited. I hope to do well at Nationals. I just need to remember to shoot at my level and not try anything fancy ... have a good solid game plan for all stages, and stick to it, no matter what happens.
My favorite USPSA event is:
Any match I can attend is a good match!
Additional Comments:

USPSA is not the only shooting disicpline I participate in. I started out in IDPA, as it was a bit slower paced. This taught me accuracy and patience. I moved to USPSA a year later and really never looked back. I still compete in IDPA, which is where we feed our new shooters from (to USPSA). Women are sometimes intimated by the speed of USPSA events, so if we can get them into IDPA to see how much fun shooting can be - we try to graduate them to USPSA.

I shoot only Glocks. My favorite is the Glock 34, with the 26 as a nice little gun to shoot, too. I also participate in GSSF. Recently this winter, while shooting an indoor GSSF match, I won the national high lady award from Glock! I didn't even know they tracked those statisics, but received a plaque and certificate for my achievement. I shot a 496 out of 500 possible. The GSSF outdoor matches are fun, too. I won high lady this year in Minnesota and in 2008 in Wisconsin.

I have much room for improvement and hope to take one of the shooting camps that the are available. I think I would benefit greatly and have a fun time doing it. I am a board member at our local club (Schultz Rod & Gun Club) and take an active role in keeping our club in the shooting sports. I also keep our website up to date with events. I actively help with setting up and running our USPSA matches, which can sometimes hurt my score, but I really love to hear that we put on a great match from competitors!
