Additional Comments:

Although I have not won any titles, I was able to earn a spot to go to Nationals in 2008 - For me, that was a very special accomplishment. There I learned more about the sport than I ever imagined. From random acts of kindness that got me there, to the random acts of kindness shown to me as a new person to Nationals, to random acts of kindness by others to help with alternate lodging when the weather turned sour.

Even though there were only a few people there that I knew, I was treated like one of the bunch. I have always been proud to be a member of USPSA, but after Nationals, I now truly know why. It's not a bunch of nuts with guns running around a range playing shootout - It is a family filled with good and decent people who are in a competition with each other and showing every person at that competition respect and exercising some of the highest examples of sportsmanship I have ever seen.

USPSA is the only place that I can be as a female shooter where men aren't gawking, trying to show me what to do because they don't believe that a woman could possibly know what to do with a gun, or simply talking down to me. Although there are a lot of people out there who are much better shooters than I am, I am treated as a fellow shooter.
